Wichita Scottish Rite Center Original Floor

A couple of weeks ago I saw a post on Facebook from a friend about the Wichita Scottish Rite Center replacing the carpet in the main entrance area. This carpet had been in place since the late 1960′s and the only photo my friend Lisa had in their archive of the bare original YMCA 1800′s tile floor was from 1911. So in the interest of history and I’ll photography anything I find interesting, I drove down in the few short minutes the original floor was bare and took this image along with some more detailed tile images. This is a virtual tour flattened out so you can see the whole room. I’m glad I did this because with in a few hours of me shooting this, the new carpet was down and the original floor was hidden once again for at least another forty or fifty years. I’ll try to make it back when I’m 80 to take the next photo of the floor when they replace this carpet.

Shooting, But Not A Camera…

Updated some photos for the Bullet Stop recently and it’s always before they open the doors so it’s still quite. Ladies take a lot of classes there so we wanted to make sure we have a lady with a gun on the range. Look out fellas, they’s got guns.

Curved Bar Cut From Granite

Fancy little bar cut from one huge piece of granite and all shined up and ready to spill your drinks on. The client wanted to show the whole curve in it’s place within the home, show both levels on the bar and be able to see the back sink area. Challenge accepted. Nothing like a super wide angle lens in you bag to help out in times of need.

Mobile PET Scanner

Shot this yesterday and for once I’m not getting a scan. Just turned out too cool not to share.

Resort Post Card

I went out to Ruiodoso New Mexico and shot a resort hotel and convention center. The funny part was I didn’t know what they wanted me to shoot so I started to shoot what I thought they could use. After I was finished shooting my office called and gave me the instructions. Needless to say, I shot what was on the list before I had a list so that worked out pretty good. Oh, and this shot, was not on the list so they added stuff to the project. That’s always a bonus.
