Chilton Billiards downtown. Just a simple as a showroom image can convey how big and clean a place is.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a post on Facebook from a friend about the Wichita Scottish Rite Center replacing the carpet in the main entrance area. This carpet had been in place since the late 1960′s and the only photo my friend Lisa had in their archive of the bare original YMCA 1800′s tile floor was from 1911. So in the interest of history and I’ll photography anything I find interesting, I drove down in the few short minutes the original floor was bare and took this image along with some more detailed tile images. This is a virtual tour flattened out so you can see the whole room. I’m glad I did this because with in a few hours of me shooting this, the new carpet was down and the original floor was hidden once again for at least another forty or fifty years. I’ll try to make it back when I’m 80 to take the next photo of the floor when they replace this carpet.
I went out to Ruiodoso New Mexico and shot a resort hotel and convention center. The funny part was I didn’t know what they wanted me to shoot so I started to shoot what I thought they could use. After I was finished shooting my office called and gave me the instructions. Needless to say, I shot what was on the list before I had a list so that worked out pretty good. Oh, and this shot, was not on the list so they added stuff to the project. That’s always a bonus.
